Shawn Williamson

Shawn Williamson is a Producer and Principal at Brightlight Pictures whose credits include: Fifty Dead Men Walking (Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess) with HandMade Films and Future Films, shot in Belfast; Stormworld an Australian/Canadian Co-Production shot in Australia, Singapore and Canada; the television series About A Girl with the N Network and Global TV; Far Cry (Til Schweiger, Emmanuelle Vaugier); the independent feature They Wait (Jamie King), the television series Saved (Tom Everett Scott) for Fox 21 and TNT; White Noise II (Nathan Fillion) with Gold Circle Films and Rogue; In the Name of the King: a Dungeon Siege Tale (Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, John Rhys-

A native of Vancouver, Shawn began his career as a stage manager in live theatre
in 1983. He has since produced live events, live television, series, television
movies and feature films. In 2001, he combined his film production expertise
with the talents of independent producer Stephen Hegyes to form Brightlight
Pictures Inc. In addition to producing at Brightlight Pictures, Shawn chairs the City
of Vancouver Industry Film Task Force and sits on the board of the Whistler Film
Festival, Motion Picture Production Industry Association and the B.C. Film
Commission Advisory Committee.
