Mark Leiren-Young

Mark Leiren-Young won the Leacock medal for humour for his memoir Never Shoot a Stampede Queen, which he is currently adapting as a feature for Middle Child Productions. TV scripting credits include drama, documentary, animation and live events. He has written for such publication as Time, The Walrus and The Hollywood Reporter and is a regular contributor to The Georgia Straight, The Tyee and The Vancouver Sun. Mark is a three time WGC Award finalist, most recently for his award-winning feature The Green Chain -- which he wrote, directed and produced -- and which played VIFF in 2007. www.leiren-young.com
