Prior to founding Visit Films with Sylvain Tron, Ryan spent a number of years in International Distribution at Focus Features. With Visit Films, he has been responsible for the worldwide sales of a number of important American independent and international films that have premiered in festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, and Toronto from filmmakers as diverse as Harmonie Korine, Werner Herzog, the Duplass Brothers, Ali Samadi Ahadi, Joe Swanberg and David Robert Mitchell.

In January 2009, Dae Mellencamp joined InterActiveCorp (IAC) as General Manager of Vimeo. She was named President in March of 2012.

An Internet industry veteran since 1997, Mellencamp was most recently Senior Vice President, Product Management at About.com where she was responsible for the Web site user experience and key strategic business relationships. In this role, Mellencamp was involved in all aspects of product development, design and strategy while supervising the product management and design teams.

Deepa Mehta is a filmmaker who has been described as a “transnational artist”. Her movies are known for telling universally meaningful stories and have played at every major film festival; receiving awards and recognition, and have been distributed around the world. Deepa was born in India and received a degree in philosophy from the University of New Delhi. Before immigrating to Canada, she began her career making documentaries in India. In 1991, Deepa’s first feature film, Sam & Me, won an Honourable Mention in the Camera D’Or section of the Cannes Film Festival.

Katrin Bowen is a Vancouver based director whose award-winning short films include Financially Strapped, Spitting Reality, Someone, Almost Forgot My Bones, Shane and Sandcastle.

Katrin made her first feature film Amazon Falls on a shoestring budget in 12 days. Amazon Falls went on to garner her the 2011 Artistic Achievement Award for direction and won the best debut feature at the 2011 Female Eye Film Festival.

J. Joly is the CEO/Founder of CineCoup. From his first job as an usher at a cinema on a Canadian base in Germany, J has spent two decades working in media. During his undergraduate at Queen’s he founded a recording group that toured with acts such as The Tragically Hip, Wilco, and Primus. After graduation he directed award-winning shorts, worked as a stage manager at the Just for Laughs festival and at every level of production on film and TV in Toronto.
