International Sales and Co-production Tête-à-têtes Telefilm Canada is proud to sponsor a series of hands-on meetings designed to assist in the development of international sales and co-productions. In partnership with the 2001 Vancouver International Film Festival Trade Forum, this unique event offers the opportunity to discuss concrete projects with International producers, broadcasters and sales agents during private half-hour meetings. The meetings will take place at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel on Thursday September 27, from 10am to 4pm, on the half-hour. Who can attend? This opportunity is avaliable to Canadian producers with feature film projects currently in development that are suitable for an international co-production partnership, or producers who are seeking a distributor or sales agent for specific projects. Deadline for application: Canadian producers are invited to submit outlines of their projects to Telefilm Canada (Vancouver) by Friday September 14. Project descriptions will be forwarded in advance to the Trade Forum's international guests. Participating Canadian producers will receive a list of international guests along with a brief bio-filmography by mid-September. Relevant project-specific information prior to the Trade Forum will enable producers to initiate discussions and exchanges with the Trade Forum's international guests even before the tête-à-têtes are scheduled.
