Presented by Brad Birarda and Robert Sali

For the 18th year running, the Festival is pleased to offer the Dragons & Tigers Award for Young Cinema to a new director from Pacific Asia. It is given to a creative and innovative film, made early in the director's career, which has not yet won significant international recognition. As always, we're hugely grateful to Brad Birarda and Robert Sali for sponsoring this award, and the series as a whole.

One of the most effective ways to recognize a particularly wonderful film and help boost the career of emerging filmmaking talent is through supporting VIFF’s annual Prizes & Awards Program.

Some donors choose to fund filmmaker prizes or awards on a year-to-year basis with an annual gift of $2,000 to $25,000, depending on the prize category and cash award.

An initial commitment of at least three years is requested, after which the award can be renewed one year at a time.

In the coming months, VIFF will be introducing a new, expanded donor program with exciting festival and year-round benefits. We look forward to sharing the details with you as soon as possible.

You may wonder why does VIFF need donations?

As a charitable cultural organization, VIFF relies on the generous philanthropic contributions of people like you who love film and are passionate about our city’s own Vancouver International Film Festival.

One of the benefits of becoming a festival sponsor is the right to entertain a group of clients during the busy and exciting fall film festival.

All of our festival sponsorships include hospitality and entertaining rights, including tickets to films and Galas/special events.
