Ninth Annual Window Display Contest

A WINDOW ON THE WORLD

As the Vancouver International Film Festival celebrates 20 years of bringing the best of world cinema to Vancouver audiences, the VIFF Window Display Competition proudly celebrates ten years of homegrown imagination and creative talent. Over the past decade, dozens of local retailers, designers and service providers have provoked and entertained us with their unique, often inspired, views of the cinematic world. From charming to disarming, they never fail to surprise our panel of judges.
Once again, we encourage our Film Festival patrons to support these wizards of window magic who contribute their time, energy and considerable talents to raising the public profile of our cultural community. We add a special note of thanks this year to Blanche MacDonald Centre for Applied Design for assistance provided by their fashion-merchandising students. Congratulations to the winners of our 2000 competition and best of luck to this year’s entrants.
