World Premiere screening of Stories That Transform Us, produced by Urban Ink, followed by a talk with Director, Corey Payette and special guests.

Stories That Transform Us features conversations with trailblazing artists, Marie Clements, Diane Roberts, and Corey Payette and more, reflecting on productions from Urban Ink’s 20-year history that played a significant role in pushing forward the creative landscape for Indigenous and diverse voices in Canada.

The film showcases re-imagined creative shorts from Burning Vision by Marie Clements, Sal Capone: The Lamentable Tragedy of… by Omari Newton, Children of God, a musical by Corey Payette, Moonlodge by Margo Kane, Sedna by Corey Payette, Reneltta Arluk & Marshall McMahen, and Les Filles du Roi, a musical by Corey Payette and Julie McIsaac.

Following the screening, Director Corey Payette and special guests discuss their journeys pushing artistic boundaries while working in both the theatre and film sectors. This is an in-person event.
