This road movie captures society’s constant bombardment by corporate logos and mass-consumption symbology. My Generation is the final chapter of a trilogy of short films: Logorama - Money Time - My Generation. A collaboration between Ludovic Houplain and EDM artist Mirwaïs, this animated piece is an audiovisual marvel with a multilayered visual and sound mix that starts rolling about 30 seconds in and never stops. In an eight-minute traveling shot we go through representations of different worlds; contemporary art, the digital domain, sports, religions, pornography, politics, finance, sacred cows, and generalized surveillance - all considered opioids of the people. It’s certainly a critique of the modern world that has been created, a world where, in virtually all facets of our lives, we are controlled by mega-corporations and multinational interests. Apocalyptic and hypnotic, this is Hieronymus Bosch transported to the post-Warhol era in its depiction of the headlong rush of a lobotomized society in need of intensive care.
