Peter Brass is a Saulteaux video artist and filmmaker from the Peepeekisis First Nation living in Regina, Saskatchewan. Peter received his master’s degree from the Institute of American Indian Art. He has screened his work at ImagiNative, Prairie Scene Festival, and various galleries. Thematically, Brass has dealt with the notions of loss, redemption, justice, and identity to name but a few. Using both humour and drama, he presents these themes so as to not draw conclusions, but rather to offer insight into experiences. Indigenous Dads was completed through the National Screen Institute IndigiDocs program.
