Creator Talk: The Wilds

Recorded on March 31, 2021 at 6pm PST on VIFF Connect

Presented by
Creative BC

Part survival drama, part coming-of-age story, The Wilds follows a group of teenage girls from radically diverse backgrounds after an airplane crash leaves them stranded on a deserted island. Using daring narrative approaches to tackling very serious subject matter, the show is intended for a female audience and the production team behind The Wilds is predominately female: 9 leads, 6 directors, 4 executive producers, 4 writers, and a stunt coordinator. We’re thrilled to host Sarah Streicher, creator/executive producer, and Amy Harris, showrunner/executive producer, as they talk about the show’s cross-genre storytelling and its addictive, adrenaline-laced cocktail of drama, mystery and tension.
