Sustainable Development Goals and Entertainment

Impact | Sustainable Production Forum
SAT, Oct. 6, 10AM – 11AM

This session will focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of entertainment. The 17 SDGs offer an opportunity to discuss the social and environmental aspects of sustainability, and to expand how we think about our ability to transform culture.

"There is only one industry that has it all: the role-models that make kids dream about their futures, the stories that have the ability to bring forth profound emotions, the visions that can empower so many towards societal and transformational changes—and that is the motion picture industry,” says Helle Bank Jorgensen, president of Global Compact Network Canada, “Having the opportunity to talk about the Agenda 2030 and the global Sustainable Development Goals with members of the motion-picture industry represents a great opportunity to spread awareness and spark action towards the world we want. I am honoured that you have considered me for this role, and I look forward to the opportunity to inspire, like the industry has done for so many others.”
