This event has passed

Assembled from over 20 years of footage by co-directors Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy captures the development of a complicated and mercurial artist. Unfurling over five hours and in three chapters, Simmons takes us through his approach for this ambitious docu-series from collaboration, following a subject, and sifting through the footage in a process that spanned two decades.

This session is co-presented by we the roses. we the roses is an idea agency made up of marketing, communications, and branding experts that help clients passionately engage their audience on an emotional level. With one half hailing from Chicago and the other from New Orleans, the award-winning duo Coodie & Chike crossed paths in New York in 2002. In 2004, their first collaboration Through the Wire resulted in a video that catapulted the career of Kanye West. The duo also collaborated with high-profile artists such as Pitbull, Mos Def, The Black Keys, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, Ed Sheeran, Gil Scott-Heron, Wale, and Joey Badass. With an interest in transitioning their talents beyond music videos and on their abilities to tell stories across multiple verticals, Coodie & Chike formed their own production company, Creative Control.
