Alicia Eisen
Alicia Eisen began her career as a stop motion animator in Toronto and has since had the pleasure of working at stop motion studios such as Starburns, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, Cinderbiter (Disney), and more.
Eisen’s first two independently produced films, Old Man (2016) and Deady Freddy (2019), have garnered international awards. In 2020, when the world locked down, Eisen co-directed the experimental mixed-media documentary Come to Your Senses using a completely remote workflow. Eisen is currently developing Old People Island, an interactive media project set in a geriatric utopia.

Sophie Jarvis
Sophie Jarvis’ first job in film was reading fan mail for The L Word. Later, she studied at Simon Fraser University and her short film, The Worst Day Ever (2012), had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Jarvis now works as a director, while living a double life as a production designer on a wide range of projects. Lately, she is immersed in the world of stop motion animation with the upcoming short film Zeb’s Spider, produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
