Bruce Mau believes we can change the world, and he’s certainly playing his part. From humble roots (a small farm near Sudbury) he has become one of the most influential designers (and thinkers), assigned projects that range from remapping Mecca to reimagining the country of Guatemala. MOMA didn’t just want to feature his work, they invited him to come in and give the museum a facelift. Yet it’s as a visionary that Mau really stands out, a pragmatist who dreams outside the box and inspires others to do the same. His conviction that radical transformation is within our grasp makes him an essential voice for our times. And his work with, of all companies, Coca Cola, is a practical demonstration of just what can be achieved in the most unlikely environment.
It is superior kung fu.
