Be careful what you wish for: lottery winner Charles (Tim Key) lives in splendid isolation on a remote British isle. It’s his dream to reunite his favourite band, the folk-rock duo McGwyer Mortimer, so he’s naturally thrilled when they both (separately) accept his invitation to put on a private performance on Wallis Island. But he hasn’t been entirely candid about his plans and neither McGwyer (Tim Basden) nor Mortimer (Carey Mulligan) are exactly thrilled to learn they’ve been set up by a super fan — even if they do need the money…
An odd couple comedy laced with lovely songs, this is one of those little gems that don’t come around very often.
It’s something almost as rare as a revelation: a crowdpleaser I’d recommend to everyone.
Amy Nicholson, LA Times
Warm, endearing and very funny, a quintessential indie smile-maker about nice, humble people adorably stumbling their way toward a little happiness.
Kyle Smith, Wall Street Journal
James Griffiths’ tender comedy-drama also has a ton of heart, a generosity of spirit and an ultimately disarming sweetness that make it sneak up on you, cynicism be damned. It’s also quite funny, in an eccentric, decidedly British way.

Shall We Dance?
Masayuki Suô's delightful and charming 1996 film was a box office smash and won 14 Japanese Academy Awards including Best Film. It's the story of a married salaryman who falls in love with... dance.
Allen Sunshine
Recipient of the Werner Herzog Award, the first feature by 25-year-old Harley Chamandy is a pleasingly gentle character study set in Lake Country, where music producer Allen has retreated to recover from a grievous turn of events.
