Viktória Traub

Viktória graduated with an MA in Animation from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME) in 2008. During her studies, she spent a semester at ESAD Portugal on an Erasmus scholarship. She is currently pursuing a Multimedia DLA at MOME. Since 2008, she has been working as a freelance designer and director of animated films. Her shorts Iron Egg (2015) and Mermaids and Rhinos (2018) received invitations to many international festivals where they were both highly praised. In 2018, Mermaids and Rhinos was named Best Animation of the Year by the Association of Hungarian Film Critics. Viktória’s latest film, Shoes and Hooves (2024), explores the dilemmas of making connections, fitting in and self-acceptance.
