Dilli Dark

This event has passed

African outsider Michael Okeke left Nigeria six years ago to survive in the frequently disconnecting and overcrowded New Delhi, which he despises heartily. He dreams of true love and a better job but is pushed into only the 4 C-s: cell phone, cocaine, cash, and clients.

Michael Okeke’s relationship with Delhi is a fresh yet bothersome portrait of life in India as an African man. Michael struggles through countless bouts of unfounded racism in a bid to find success. The dynamics between Michael and the people he encounters hold a satirical mirror to the global relations that trouble numerous immigrant populations.

The Eyes of Ghana

Dir. Ben Proudfoot
90 min

In his debut feature doc Ben Proudfoot unearths the story — and the images — of Chris Hesse, personal cameraman to Ghana's revolutionary leader, Kwame Nkrumah, who was deposed in a coup in 1966. This is a fascinating history reclaimed from the archives.
