Highly anticipated films screening in our marquee venue

There are “highly anticipated films” and then there are the first new features from Hayao Miyazaki, Catherine Breillat, and Jonathan Glazer in a decade. Those are but three of the standouts in a Special Presentations lineup that also delivers the latest from VIFF stalwarts, the finest imports from Cannes, profiles of Canadian icons, and panic on the streets of Vancouver. This series both reacquaints you with beloved puppets from your childhood and leaves you questioning whether we’re all just pawns of fate.
