A woman passing by a serious car accident becomes a French translator for a young Haitian man as he is taken by ambulance to a hospital. Tense from the opening shot of him slumped over the steering wheel of his wrecked car, this Chilean high drama is a race to save his life with a language barrier. It’s a smart movie, where excellent direction and performances, along with exceptional camerawork and editing, create a nonstop, action packed ride that never lets up. The film also helps us realize the responsibilities that unexpectedly come when one is involved in a life or death crisis. In this critical and challenging situation the woman’s random act of kindness leads to far more than she bargained for.
