Ananth Subramaniam
Ananth Subramaniam is a Malaysian filmmaker of Tamil descent whose works often explore his ancestral identity and family. He co-founded Idio Sync Inc., a production house created to develop genre stories championing Tamil culture. Subramaniam was selected to participate in the 2020 Locarno Open Doors program and Southeast Asian Film Lab, and his recent filmmaking credits include The House of Brick and Stone (2022), which premiered at Fantasia & BIFAN, and Liar Land (2019), which won a Special Mention Prize at Locarno. He is currently working on his debut feature film The Passport.
