Simon Schneckenburger

Born in the Black Forest, South Germany, Simon Schneckenburger is a winner of the German Newcomer Film Award. Schneckenburger graduated in fiction directing from Filmakademie Baden Württemberg and screened his first short film Borzaya (2021) at festivals all over the world, earning a shortlist nomination from the Student Academy Awards. His graduation film Skin on Skin (2025) was nominated for the German Short Film Award and has won multiple awards at festivals worldwide, including the Future Frames section at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
