Valerie is a skilled finance professional with experience in Philanthropy, Social Media, Stewardship, Financial Analysis, and Accounting. She is an experienced Financial Leader with a demonstrated history of working in the charitable sector. At The BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, Valerie works closely with the Senior Leadership Team as well as the Chair, Finance & Audit Committee and a finance team of three other individuals carrying out day to day financial management and reporting for a $7m/year operating budget, investment management and capital projects. Previously, Valerie held the position of Director, Finance & Systems at the Arts Club Theatre Company. There she managed a team of four and oversaw all financial and information technology matters for the organization. Valerie has two grown children and enjoys gardening in the backyard of her Kitsilano duplex as well as travel with her husband of 27 years.
