
Welcome to the new look viff.org, designed and developed by our friends at Substrakt.
We are excited to launch our new website. We hope you enjoy browsing our film selection, checking out trailers and seeing all that VIFF has to offer. Our goal was to build a new site with our audience and community in mind. We’ll continue to adapt and upgrade this site to better showcase our programming, make it more user-friendly and encourage you to come to the theatre more often!
We are also pleased to introduce Elevent as our new ticketing system provider. In addition to the new site, we’ve completely streamlined your VIFF box office experience. What do I need to know?

How to log in
Now that we have a new ticketing system (Elevent), you may find you need to create an account, even if you’ve used viff.org before.
Simply select your tickets as usual and when you check out, you can either:
- Enter your email address and register by providing us with your name and creating a password.
- Register/Log in with Facebook or Google
- Asked for a password but aren’t sure what it is? Click Forgot Password and you should receive a reset email from Elevent Support.
- Click the link in the email within 72 hours to reset your password.

VIFF+ Members
We have rebuilt your VIFF+ (and Patrons Circle) memberships for you in the new system, so you shouldn’t have any difficulties accessing your benefits as usual.
- The first time you log in, enter the email address you usually use to access viff.org.
- You will be asked to register (unless you’ve booked tickets via Elevent before). Enter your first name, last name and create a secure password.
- Click Register
- That should be it! Check that your VIFF+ membership has successfully applied to your account by clicking the ‘Account’ link in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Under your name, it should show that you are a Member of VIFF+/VIFF+ Premium at Vancouver International Film Festival.
- When you go to book tickets, you should see your VIFF+ discount displayed automatically.

Need assistance?
We realize it can sometimes be confusing when big changes take place on a website you’re used to visiting.
From April 27 – May 6 we have extra customer service support available to help you book tickets, access your account and navigate the site. Our team will do their best to respond to you as quickly as they can

What’s new?
The project we’ve undertaken over the past several months has aimed to put our audience at the centre of everything we do as we strive to make our site and ticketing processes more accessible.
A few of the new features of the site are:
- A new homepage featuring highlights of what’s screening on any given day, spotlighted events and a place to get up to speed on all the latest VIFF News.
- A faster, more intuitive booking process, with a simplified VIFF+ membership program (with even better benefits than before!)
- Advanced search functionality to make help you browse all our programming and find hidden gems
- Improved booking process if you’re on a mobile device
- Better technology ‘under the hood’ that makes the site easier to use
- Huge improvements to viff.org’s overall web accessibility
