The perspectives and approaches that are elevating short-form storytelling in Canada
Arranged according to flows of energy, mood, and spirit, the Short Forum showcases works by filmmakers from across the country. Each short is strategically placed to highlight the comparative contrasts and tones of its neighbouring films, together creating a diverse but unified continuity over the course of five inimitable programs. Recurring themes of family, migration, and community move through a selection of 42 powerful and compelling works categorised under the expansive framework of ‘Canadian’ filmmaking.
