Fairplay

Canadian Premiere

Three males from different generations engage in dangerous, competitive and high risk situations in search of recognition. This action packed film looks at the power of games across generations, where the game becomes a brilliant space to explore power dynamics as in an instant tables can turn and the underdog becomes the hero or vice versa. Strong direction and how the three stories are creatively connected visually gets you invested, and on the edge of your seat, for each character, while dramatic, kinetic editing and fine performances build the drama and tension that hold everything together. Reminiscent of Squid Game this is a gripping, intense ride from start to finish.
