Lin Htet Aung
Lin Htet Aung, born in 1998, is a filmmaker based in Myanmar. A published avant-garde poet, he began making short films in 2017, and his works have screened at several international film festivals. He won Best Director (2020) and Best Screenplay (2023) at SGIFF, and the Tiger Short Award at IFFR in 2025. Aung is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents, Locarno Filmmakers Academy, and the Asian Film Academy, as well as a Prince Claus Seed Awardee. He is currently developing his debut feature, Making A Sea, which received a grant from the Asian Cinema Fund.
