Works-in-Progress

VIFF introduces Works-in-Progress (WIP), a new industry initiative dedicated to supporting bold, compelling feature-length projects in the final stages of production.

This curated program will showcase up to 8 projects 4 Canadian and 4 International — currently in editing or post-production, providing filmmakers with a unique opportunity to present their films to leading international industry professionals.

Designed for directors, producers, sales agents, distributors, festival programmers, and financiers, VIFF WIP aims to accelerate the completion and circulation of outstanding films by connecting them with the partners they need to reach audiences worldwide.

Selected filmmakers will present their projects through a live pitch and a rough-cut excerpt, followed by feedback sessions with invited experts.
