Born in Iran in 1959, Bahram Javahery created his first animated work at age 14. In addition to making a number of animated films, including the award-winning The Flower, the Bird and the Sun (2001), Bahram lectured at the Tehran University of Art, the Teachers’ Training University and Soureh University before immigrating to Canada in 2001. Most recently, Bahram worked on Ann Marie Fleming’s animated feature Window Horses and directed Two Apples (2023), his latest animated short.
