Her work is largely informed by the emotional experiences of women and she is currently most inspired by themes of nostalgia, violence, femininity, and failed romance. She is currently writing a short film and developing her debut feature film which will be a Vietnamese-Canadian production. Solara has her cat manager Mei Mei to thank for keeping her on top of deadlines.
