Ming Wong
Ming Wong is a Berlin-based artist whose work contends with cinema and popular culture to consider how identity is constructed, reproduced, and circulated. Recent shows include Dream Factory: Cantopop Mandopop 1980s–2000 (Chinese Canadian Museum, Vancouver, 2025), AUUUUDITORIUM (Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, 2024), Rhapsody in Yellow (Esplanade, Singapore, 2024), and Signals: How Video Transformed the World (Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2023). Wong was the 2025 Artist-in-Residence at the National Gallery in London, where he shot and premiered Dance of the Sun on the Water (2026).
