ERASERHEAD XIU XIU

Book Now Book Now

In 2016, compelling experimentalists Xiu Xiu released and toured the surprisingly successful album Plays the Music of Twin Peaks — with the blessings of David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti. Out of respect and deference to the beloved series and its creators, the band decided to put the concert to rest in 2018; however, following the passing of David Lynch in 2025, Xiu Xiu began receiving requests to revive their interpretation of this iconic music once more. In response, the group decided to dive deeper than ever into Lynch’s nocturnal world.

ERASERHEAD XIU XIU is new a live concert and accompanying film that uses field recordings, homemade instruments, organ, modular synths, vocals, flashlights, electrical interference, and elements of musique concrete to express the bizarre emotionality, conflicted sexuality, and relentless darkness of Lynch’s most singular of midnight masterpieces. The original sound design and score by Alan Spelt and Lynch serve as guide wires for Xiu Xiu’s sonic expansion, allowing the group to express how they have been affected both as viewers and musicians. ERASERHEAD XIU XIU is an explosive tribute to a cinematic masterwork and an epitaph to an idol that’s as intense, odd, and curious as you’d want it to be.

Xiu Xiu

Xiu Xiu (Angela Seo and Jamie Stewart) was born on a dance floor — arriving alone at the club and going home alone from the club. Their songs have reflected specific events in the personal lives of the band, the people close to them, and the social and economic politics that affect and deform subjugated life everywhere in this wobbling, wreck of a solar system. The group have never shied away from any topic that is honest and meaningful to them, with music drawn from British post punk, synth pop, modern Western classical, noise and experimental, Asian percussion, American folk, torch singers, house, techno, and 1950s rock’n’roll. Formed in 2002 in San Jose, California, Xiu Xiu has relentlessly toured all over the world since.
