Hakim Atoui is a French-Algerian director. In 2020, he co-directed the self-produced documentary La Première Marche, and in 2024 he directed his first fiction shorts Goodbye Sun (winner of the Grand Prix BNK Award at the 2025 Busan International Film Festival and selected for the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival) and Blood Ties (included in the 2025 César Awards shortlist). Man in the Showers is his third short.
