Navroz Shaban
Navroz Shaban is a Kurdish filmmaker based in Duhok, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Trained in theatre acting, he works as a writer, director, producer, and actor. His shorts explore everyday Kurdish life with a hopeful tone and his filmography includes 4PM, which screened at the 2023 Duhok International Film Festival, and White, which was selected for the 2026 Berlinale and received the Special Prize of the Generation Kplus International Jury for Best Short Film. Shaban serves as a board member of a Duhok-based production company and previously held a management role at the General Directorate of Culture and Arts in Amedi.
