Typhoon Mambo film image; two people sitting at a table by a large open doorway

Typhoon Mambo

North American Premiere

Continuing to interact with her departed husband via an AI chatbot, Rusmee clings tight to her memories. The arrival and presence of her husband’s former caretaker, Fa, reveals underlying pressures and lingering grief for all that has been lost.

A subtle and dramatic expression of grief and self-reflection, Typhoon Mambo reveals a somber and shifting reality of diasporic memory and genuine care.
